Sit N Pot | Meditation & pinch pottery workshop

  • state of sahaja yoga (map)

Come join us on this beautiful offering of meditation and pottery class with Judes & local pottery Goddess, Danielle Clarke.

We will be opening with a short intro, 20 minute guided meditation with Judes to drop in to the space, tap into our creative juices and the rest of the time to create & play. Danielle will do a short demonstration showing us techniques of how to use our hands to make a small pinch pot plate, a small bowl and a small cup so we can create our own pinch pot pieces.

You will each receive 1kg of clay and depending on the size of the pieces, how fast/slow we work; we will be able to create the above pieces. :D

We will also have extra clay available if needed.

About Danielle

Danielle is a local Gold Coast artist based in Worongary and made the beautiful plates that we have at our yoga studio. Danielle was born in Denmark, has always listened to her dreams and they have lead her on many adventures.

From leaving Denmark to meeting her husband, Adam one of our dear students, marrying and having their beautiful girls. Danielle has her hands in many creative practices from spinning wool, knitting to weaving looms and baskets. She is a trained pastry chef, cooks, carves wood, paints and a gifted potter. Danielle also workswith crystals and Shamanic journeywork.

She had a dream where she was digging clay out from a riverbed and then teaching women to make pots. This started her ceramic journey which she loves so much, that she sometimes has to stop and wonder what took her so long to begin it! But life is funny like that, full of little synchronicities that keeps us on our toes, huh?

We are super excited and honoured to be able to offer this unique curation and we hope you all love it as much as us.
